We're thrilled to announce that six of sixteen finalists (chosen from hundreds of applicants around the world) will represent Blanche Macdonald and demonstrate their skills within three hours of chaos and extreme pressure in front of a handful of the industry’s top Makeup Masters! Watch out for the creations from these Blanche competitors on the 'Battle of the Brushes' competition stage: Jenny Tseng, Fiona Cheng and Hailey Lovas (Day 1, Beauty/Fantasy) and Dora Tsai, Angie Balbon and Jamie Minnie (Day 2, Character/Prosthetics). We can't wait to cheer them on!
Since 2009, Blanche Macdonald Makeup program graduates have competed and placed in multiple IMATS competitions all over North America and our award-winning graduates have wowed IMATS attendees with stunning demos including a world first - a mind-blowing 3D Makeup technique discovered by Makeup grad and instructor, Ashley Forshaw! At the 2011 Vancouver IMATS, our talented artists owned the podium with a historic triple home run as Blanche Macdonald students swept all three trophies in the Beauty/Fantasy Competition on Day One and a 2nd place tophy in the Prosthetics competition on Day Two. With solid wins in Toronto and LA, Blanche Macdonald Makeup graduates also impressed the judges of Make-Up Artist Magazine in both the 2012 Vancouver and New York IMATS where three graduates scored a phenomenal 1st, 2nd and 3rd place win!
