We are so proud of Blanche Macdonald graduate Anna Thorsen, Creative Director of 'by post street' & founder of The Social Life - a fabulous guide for all things social (current hangouts, events, lifestyle and culture) in major cities around the globe. She's exuberant, strong and a fearless face in the fashion industry and she has proven that passion can definitely lead to a rewarding, exciting and fun career.
"Blanche Macdonald was a blast! I took it back in 2003 right out of high school. My experience was fantastic and the introduction to the makeup industry was phenomenal. I loved how I naturally got exposure to the hair, aesthetics and fashion industries just by being at the school everyday and from the variety of teachers we had. It was eye opening for me to see the other paths, which I could take my life.
"My absolute favourite course was the 'Drag Makeup' course. My teacher was hilarious. This course had a profound impact on me as I have been dressing as my persona 'Anna T Fabulous' for the LGBT community for almost seven years now. 'Anna T Fabulous' could be classified as a 'female drag queen' and I have always done all my own Makeup. Blanche definitely helped shape me into who I am today, Creative Director for my apparel & music company by post street and founder of The Social Life!"
